    Smashed car

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Eric Nelms was driving to the store in Orange, New Jersey, when he took this picture. He says this isn't an uncommon sight in Orange, New Jersey, today. He says there are a ton of trees down in his neighborhood, power lines are out and the hurricane has caused a ton of damage. He says the weather is calm today so people have been able to begin clearing things out of their yards but they do need more police and city employees in the area to help direct traffic and clear away debris.

PLEASE NOTE: Sandy is an extremely dangerous storm. We urge iReporters to take caution when documenting the storm and follow local guidance. For storm information specific to your area, please monitor warnings issued by your local National Weather Service forecast office.
    - Jamescia, CNN iReport producer

Car was smashed due violent winds knocking down a tree.
