    Sandy brings Blizzard to Boone, NC

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     appstate13 told me, 'At this point in time it was still very windy and snowy. Probably not very safe to be out on the roads still. Seeing this was very shocking knowing that the wind gusts had the power to snap a metal fence in half.' Officials confirm this fence was knocked down, and they believe wind was the cause.

    With intense wind gusts and snow, Sandy had enough power to knock over this metal fence outside of Kidd Brewer Stadium on the campus of Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
