    Hurricane Sandy hits NYC

Photographs during the hurricane and its aftermath in NYC. I walked around Lower Manhattan today to photograph the damage. South Street Seaport seemed the hardest hit of any area of the city. The extreme flooding ruined the interiors of many of the shops. The sidewalks and streets were also coated in a film of oil from all of the flooding. It was very slippery to walk around–almost like walking on ice.
