    Snow hits Appalachia!

     
    We have about 12" so far here in southwest Virginia and we have 2-4" more to come overnight along with strong gusty wind which will make travel treacherous. This photo looks toward Rich Mountain which is nearly invisible for the low cloud and snow. There is an odd pink section of cloud.
