    Crane close up photographs

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter UKAndyA from London, England, was on holiday and on a New York layover when Superstorm Sandy hit. On Tuesday he snapped these images of the large crane which partly toppled during the storm. Our iReporter, who is a safety consultant and has more than 35 years experience in securing such incidents, says it is possible to secure the crane but will take time. "It looks stable but needs a close up inspection, as I can see broken structural elements that would need bracing before any recovery could be attempted," he said. He is currently attempting to visit friends in Rhode Island and, as public transport is down, is hoping a hired car will get him there.
