AFTER THE STORM- Bayville, New York

Bayville, New York. The North Shore of Long Island suffered tremendous damage when Hurricane Sandy ripped through the town of Bayville. Pictures from the day after the storm: (1) Sails ripped to shreds on the Bay ( 2 )Bayville Bridge (3) 1st Avenue(4) Franklin Avenue underwater, sump pump truck with line snaking out to Bayville Avenue. (5) Sump Connectors (6) A man wades back into his house ( 7) 16th Street ( 8) 16th Street, downed powerlines and trees and a lone kayaker (9) Being rescued (10) Reflecting the aftermath in silence.
