Big Box Stores Make Stranded Employees Come In - Or Else

A big box store that has their employees wear targets over their hearts has demanded that employees come in to work at the Hunt's Point location... right next to the Hudson River.

Despite pleas that the subway is shut down, the roads are flooded, and cabs defeat the purpose to come in for minimum wage, the staff is being told to come in on their own money or "carpool," or risk being fired. The streets are flooded to 2nd Avenue. My coworkers slept at the store because Management of this big boxer wouldn't let people leave when the storm was really bad and after it was over.

Big corporations are taking advantage of the employees, and rejecting what Mayor Bloomberg said when he declared the City a state of emergency.
