    Con Ed repairs transformer on East River

     

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     hajmo photographed this image of the Con Edison transformers being repaired, on October 31. He says these are the transformers that are responsible for most of the power being out in New York City.

    Shot from Brooklyn through a telescope, these workers are repairing a massive Con Ed transformer station that powers a huge residential area which is out of power, on the east side of Manhattan. Two huge explosions due to flooding knocked these out.
