    “Chad Never Stops”

Halloween is my father’s birthday, and believe me it weighs on me, however so do other things. In the end I like to write about my father and all kinds of things that make me smile. My buddy Chad makes me smile all the time and he doesn’t even know it. He even allows me to get emotional and he is there to embrace my pain and teach me to never stop at anything. No curve ball is too hard to hit…….no tackle can’t be broken…..and no kick can’t find its way in the goal. Chad never stops at living for others and those that he cares about. Chad never stops!

I was out of work years ago and went to the pool store….I was in a dark spot in life and Chad was the guy behind the counter at the time. He made me laugh with his Bronx accent and brash words about everything especially sports. I really thought he was pretty funny and I am certain he thought I was pretty nuts. Then again he might have been right about the nuts part……I am a bit neurotic about so many things most people really don’t care about……I create a sense of urgency about things that can take years…..yet Chad caught me at a time when I needed that harsh Bronx voice.

Chad is built like a wall that could never be moved by any machinery…..he is thick…….dead weight…..and very strong. However, with all that strength is a soft heart….someone that cares for others more than he does for himself….and would help an old lady cross the street he doesn’t know. Yeah this guy could give a rat’s ass about himself, but cares deeply for all kinds of people. He is an amazing father…..husband…son…friend…uncle….and most of all a selfless human being. I have few friends in Scottsdale by choice, however I have chosen Chad Ackerman. Crap…..I don’t know a better guy……please I dare you to find someone who trumps Chad.

Chad never stops carrying for anyone…….and he never really worries about himself…..he just moves forward and grabs at resilience all day long. He tugs at it so hard, that nobody can knock this guy down a flight of stairs and expect he can’t get up. I wish I had more Chad in me…….everyone should let a little Chad rub off on them……and we all would be better off. Chad never stops.
