This iReport is part of an assignment:
Calling early voters |
Voted from Hospital (out of state)
Knew of lengthy hospital stay out of state so requested an absentee ballot be sent to me there. Reside in the swing state of Ohio, believed this would be a close race & wanted to make sure my voice was heard & vote counted for President Obama. The 1st picture was taken in my hospital room where I "officially" cast my vote. After my 52 day stay in the hospital I returned to Ohio & HAND DELIVERED my ballot to my Board of Elections Office (last 2 pictures).
Too important to sit on the sidelines this time: too much at stake & I dont want to go back! Equality, health care & social safety net/care for others values voter here! I guess that makes me one of the "47%", a.k.a."those people"?!
