    Bellevue Hospital fights back

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter dikmaa01, a physician at Bellevue Hospital, snapped this photo on his iPhone around 3:30 am Tuesday morning. He tells CNN iReport that hospital staff and National Guard members pitched in to form a fuel brigade, carrying gallons of fuel jugs up 13 flights of stairs to the backup generator. dikmaa01 says he feels lucky and proud to work with such courageous and passionate staff.
    - Echerneff, CNN iReport producer

Bellevue Hospital employees form a brigade from the 1st to 13th floor, hauling up gallons of gasoline to keep the backup generator working for hours. They are then relieved by the national guard carrying oxygen tanks to intubated patients
