    Election 2012: Your stories

Is Sandy 2012 version of 2000 Elian Gonzalez?

Remember 2000 when the Clinton Administration sent Elian Gonzalez back to Cuba in a night raid? That sealed Florida for Bush by getting the Cuban American votes and edging out Gore. Now it's 2012 and Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast just before the election. The East Coast has typically been blue states and I don't think Obama really gains much here. Yes, he looks presidential and will probably carry most of the affected states anyway. Here in Ohio, the polls aren't changing and it still is a dead heat. However, you never really know how people will vote after something like this. I just hope the election continues and is over next week.
