five new fish species described after US Presidents

Biodiversity studies in recent years has lead to new findings as to the diversity of unknown freshwater fishes in eastern United States. Theses species are being described by researchers in my laboratory as new to science. Today five new species have been published that are named after Presidents of the United States, all darter species and new to science. They are named after Presidents Obama, Clinton, Carter, and Teddy Roosevelt, and Vice President Gore.
