Student leaders say protest successful
According to administrators present at the protest, held on behalf of Mr. Cobb, around 200 students were present at the district office. As I approached the DO I saw Laura and Casey with their signs, standing next to Mr. Newton, screaming it was a success.
“I think the board realizes it made a mistake,” said an administrator. It remains to be seen what will happen at next weeks board meeting.
The protest lasted less than an hour. The kids were told they were heard and told to show up at the board meeting.
