    Taste of Lithuania

Some of the wonderfully rich and satisfying foods which I tasted in Panevezys, Lithuania at the Central Day School's kitchen this March on a conference with the Grundtvig Project.

    Sourdough Dark Rye/Rugine Duona
Potato and Mushroom or Meat Dumplings/Cepelinai-the name means Zeppelin
Egg and Potato pudding/Kugelis-means flat potato dish
    Caraway Seed Cheese/Kmynai
Stacked dessert cakes/Sakotis...the name means pine tree

All the food was so flavorful and so worth the calories!
