What I Hope for My Daughters
My America, the America I wish for my daughters, is defined by unity, hard work, and opportunity. My hope is for a national passion for excellence, for civility in politics and for leaders who cast aside desires for partisan victories and put the best interest of our nation at the forefront.
The American Spirit, and our legacy of exceptional leadership around the world was not built on complacency, laziness, government dependency, class envy, fear or hatred.
My America is one where we understand that fairness is not about income equality or a big government attempting to create division through envy, fear and anger. My vision is one where fairness is recognized as the opportunity to go school, stay out of trouble, avoid addiction, work hard and be happy. It is a vision where we as individuals give generously to those in need, but aren't burdened with taxes to help those who won't help themselves.
