    Your vision for America

    Vision of America

This country has been bought and sold and so has the minds and souls of its people. 'American Idol' is a about becoming a made for profit pop star, when a true idol should be a teacher, a soldier, a volunteer. College is not about learning, it's about being able to make more money. We call ourselves the 'Greatest Nation on Earth' and are ranked 31st in education. We're the most obese nation on the planet and pay money to go to gyms to lose weight when we should be working the land to grow food. Hypocrisy runs rampant in every aspect of mainstream American life. Until we look in the mirror, decide that helping each other is more important than having another type of smartphone, a bigger house or faster car, we're only going to keep going in circles until we collapse. The economy is in shambles because of the greed we let run rampant. Our foreign relations are strained because for decades we used less powerful people and countries as pawns. Our people make uninformed decisions because their leaders don't lead, they point and twist the truth to their advantage. 'I like America, I like the myth of the place. Under a harsh light it is false, but it's a good myth to live up to all the same.' -Garth Ennis. If America is ever going to live up to its own myth, everyone must come together in the spirit of acceptance, intelligence and society that were laid down in our most hallowed document that any law professor will tell you has been abused and warped beyond all perversion in the eyes of the Founding Fathers in the last twenty years, The Constitution. They did not intened a Christian Nation. They did not intend a domineering world power nation. They did not intend a nation where everyone can be wealthy. They intended for their fellow citizens and descendants to be unified in truth, justice and the pursuit of happiness. That's my vision of America; a land of equality and hope. Not the guarantee of military, economic and religious superiority lorded over the rest of the world.
