Your vision for America |

Vision for America
While capitalism has been successfual in creating wealth in America, in particular after WWII and the second half of the 20th Century, extreme and radical capitalism has distored the idea of America. Captialist profit taking has sucked all of the oxygen from the nation. Corporate charters need to be reexamined, with limits set such that corporate self interest cannot decemate the common good. Each generation needs to recognize that the infrastructure and opportunities they inherit are not free, but have been built by previous generations. On going investment and maintenance are needed for long terms success. The idea that corporations are legal people is a ludicrus and ldangerous concept and its abuses and consequences are being seen in the election process which allow money to buy politicians. We need restraints on this too. All our actions and polices should be directed toward the common good, allowing for reward for hard work and creativity, but not at the expense of others. Our banks need to be brought under control.
