'Superstorm' Sandy: Your stories |
Manhattan Sandy Aftermath
For the past 3 days I have been walking around Manhattan taking pictures of what life has been like for the ones living in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. At the end of each day I would post them on my FaceBook account with the hope that my photos would some how influence people to help. By donating supplies, food, volunteer to clean up, give rides to the people that have to work and etc....Just help.
The responses has been wonderful and encouraging. Many of my family members, friends and colleagues have asked me to share my album with groups on line. My neighbors and the dog park community that I'm with everyone morning felt that I should reach out on a larger level. Because there is too many people with out heat, food, fresh water, clean clothes and items that just make you feel normal.
Times are hard on everyone. But if you can, donate what you can. Even if it's just one jacket that is hanging in your closet that you never wear. It's very much needed. Thank you.
