    The town of East Rockaway in southwest Nassau County, NY got hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. The residents took things into their own hands when no relief came in from The American Red Cross. Residents that were left with nothing or no power were able to pick up almost everything they needed. The amount of stuff donated was overwhelming.
