    Malibu Country Premiere

Malibu Country Premiered on ABC starring Reba McEntire and Lily Tomlin.

Reba left her country star cheating hubby and moved from Tennesse to Malibu, Calif. to restart her own singing career. Her teenage daughter June, wasn't happy even though they moved to a beautiful house with the Pacific Ocean as their front yard.

June was afraid she wouldn't find any friends, but, she found one in her next door neighbor, Sage, who had to play "gay" when Reba saw him coming downstairs from June's bedroom. I'm still not sure if Sage is really gay or not since Reba found him kissing June on the couch. The couple told Reba they were just practice kissing.

Reba's teenage son Cash wasn't unhappy about the move at first, he thought, since all the girls in Tennessee idolized his good looks, that he would find all the beautiful girls swooning over him here too. Seems they didn't, he told Reba "everyone here is beautiful, even the ugly people". Reba looked at him a bit funny.

Lillie Mae (played by Lily Tomlin) is Reba's Mom. Seems she took a little stroll around Malibu and came home with a leaf molded lollipop. Grandma's gonna have a good time here. She's sassy and outspoken, just as she should be.

Reba has a meeting with a producer, but he was out of town when she arrived. The assistant told her she really wouldn't have much luck anyway, she's not young, she's not sexy and she doesn't have a "hook". Reba decided she will have a hook, she will write her own songs.

Personally I am not in to country, but I found this new show to be very entertaining. Lily Tomlin has been a favorite of mine for a long time. The two teenagers may well have a very interesting story line. Reba is, well, she's Reba!

Be sure to watch Friday nights on ABC.
