    Election Day 'I Voted' challenge

I did my part. Did you?

I woke up at 5:15AM to vote in my second Presidential election today! Back in 2008, I was eighteen years old and excited to vote. I watched Obama speak at the coliseum in Richmond,VA and was so impressed that I did my research on him and McCain. I was beyond thrilled when I got to shake his hand and just say thank you for what you're trying to do. ELECTION DAY 2008! The line was wrapped throughout the parking lot and you could feel the excitement. I watched the results unfold in the ballroom at Virginia Commonwealth University. First, Virginia was recognized as going blue, the first time in forty years! About a minute after that everyone paused, I said WAIT, THAT SAYS OBAMA IS THE PRESIDENT! On youtube you can find videos of everyone screaming and running all around campus in excitement. Now, four years later I believe even more in Obama. It didn't take four years to mess this country up so why shouldn't he be given more time? As a young woman who is part of the middle class and soon to be college graduate (Dec. 8th!!!!!), my views connect moreso with Obama than Romney. At the end of the day, I did my part. Regardless of who you vote for, don't you want to be able to say that? Be about action! Today, I feel more anxious then anything because I understand even more what's on the line. I guess the only way to end this is....God bless America and the leadership (regardless of who wins)!
