A Limey becomes a Yankee for the day

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter HarryWales decided to commemorate the 2012 U.S. election by buying foodstuffs from each key swing state - tortilla chips for Nevada, shredded wheat for Colorado, corncakes for Iowa and ham for Virginia. He'll be staying up late to see if Madison County, Indiana's results will give any indication of what will happen. "I am hoping that 2000 doesn't happen again and that we get a clean result that no one can object to," he says.

To celebrate today being American Election Day, I have decided to have foodstuffs from the battleground states. However as there are so many battlegrounds this year, I have chosen one state in each timezone and bought the foodstuff most associated with that state. From left to right we have tortilla chips from Nevada, Shredded Wheat from Colorado, Corn Cakes from Iowa and ham from Virginia. The jelly beans are for me to nibble whilst waiting for the returns to come in.
