Watching the Election Results on CNN

I voted absentee early in Virginia so I could visit my parents in South Carolina this week. We have very different political viewpoints.  We have kind of an unspoken agreement to not discuss politics and to that end, are not watching the election results together.  They're not watching them at all!  They are watching a movie and I'm upstairs with the kids watching the results on CNN while the kids are asleep. I've got a long drive back to VA tomorrow.... so I'll hear the results when I wake up in the morning.

It's been an exciting, draining election season and I'm so glad it's almost over. Come what may, I am grateful for the organized election process in the United States and for the right and privilege to vote. I'm proud to be an American at this moment, and always.

P.S. My mom made the gorgeous quilts in the photos.  They are a drop in the bucket to the stacks of quilts around our house that she's made!  My parents are amazing people.  How I ended up so politically different, we'll never know!
