Not all Democrats were winners
Accompanied by her daughters and granddaughter Democratic challenger for West Virginia's 1st Congressional District Sue Thorn gives her concession speech shortly after the Associated Press called the race for incumbent Republican David McKinley.
Speaking to a group of about 50 gathered volunteers in Bridgeport, West Virginia Thorn thanked them for their tireless efforts for her grass roots campaign.
Other speakers stated that it was not the Republicans that defeated Thorn but the Democrats themselves citing a lack of party support in West Virginia.
