    Far Rockaway Teachers Care

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     KLNYC123 shot these photos in Far Rockaway on November 6, where teachers at PS 43 were giving out supplies in front of the school. 'What stood out the most for me, was how the students would light up with joy once they saw their teachers. The students stop pulling from the donation and ran up to their teachers, because they wanted to hug them, give them high-five or just tell their teacher about how their week was going.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

Far Rockaway PS 43 has not only lost power and part of the school has been flooded out, their students are living in a nightmare. These students have no power, heat, clean water, toiletries, first aid and they are struggling to eat.

Well, PS 43 teachers where not going to let their "their kids" suffer. These men and woman had organized supply/food drives in their own communities. Once their trucks where filled with donations, the teaches hit the road on Election Day morning to set up in front of their school and give relief to "their kids" and the families that live in the area.
