    Election 2012: Your stories

Official Election Night Celebration in Chicago - THE MOMENT

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jtoledo312, an Obama volunteer, told me, 'We all knew it was very likely Obama would be re-elected but the moment they announced it we felt free. I am a gay, married man and to me this election was crucial toward moving forward with gay rights. This is the first president who is in favor of same sex marriage. That is a big deal. It is not just about gay rights though but it is about everyone's right.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

I captured this video inside the McCormick Place in Chicago, IL on November 6th, 20122. This is the exact moment when it was announced that President Obama was elected for a second term.
