A Mobilized Nation
Each year, every single freshman student at the university I work at is required to participate in one month of intense military training.
They attend rallies, learn how to march, hold a gun, and engage in hand-to-hand combat. Although they might look intimidating, the majority of them are just scared (and exhausted) teenagers who have no interest in fighting.
After the October holiday, they return to their normal lives of skinny jeans and studies but perhaps with a little less innocence now.
