Pink Floyd keyboardist dies |
We performed Floyd onstage
As a teen in the early 80's I was so molded by the music of Pink Floyd. I was fortunate to be involved in a theater company in Endicott, NY (EPAC) in the past decade and we brought THE WALL and DSOM to the stage. We had a band on the stage with us. We had images and films projected on the back of the stage and we had full choreography and vocals for all the songs from each album. I listened to all of the music over and over again as a teen, but to be able to perform them in my 30's brought a new respect for the lyrics and the shear musical genius of each member and the band as a unit. What a loss to the musical world. My heartfelt thoughts and respect go to Rick's family and friends.
