    A lady with bound feet

    When I spotted the feet of this lady, I could not believe my eyes. They are bound feet and I had thought this custom had disappeared a long time ago.

     

    She was one of the tourists in Forbidden City. Judging with her appearance, she seems to live in a countryside and came to Beijing for sightseeing. Hope she is one of the LAST people who had to go through the hardships of this custom and no more people will be suffering from it.
