Let me start off with this statement about myself. I am a libertarian. That means I follow the principles of the founding fathers. I am for freedom and liberty, with fiscal views economically, yet I am socially liberal. To be socially liberal means to be accepting of ones beliefs, values, etc. as long as it does not infringe on the rights and freedoms of others. For example, I am against abortion, but the Federal government has no say in this. Its a state issue as well as a personal issue. I have no right to judge others for their actions. If i was living in a state that was ok with abortion, I would leave. Its that simple. This is the beauty of libertarianism.

As for the result of the election, we need to work together. All of us have many values and beliefs in common, including what would be right for us as a country in general. We all have different philosophies, but what makes this county great and why we are unique is simply this....compromise. Do not forsake your values, morals and beliefs, but let us come to an agreement regarding certain issues. I know we all want to be happy, live in peace and peruse our goals, but we can not let the differences divide us and halt progress to a stand still. Republicans, bring that chin up and lets work. Democrats, its time for that hand shake across the isle.
Libertarians...we can bring everyone together. Let us work together to allow this great nation of citizens to exchange our many ideas, progress in thought, reflect on history and lessons learned, but most of all, let us keep our nation as the pillar of light for the rest of the world.

And this begins with you and I.
