    - Jamescia, CNN iReport producer

We all know hero's in our lifes. My hero was and continues to be my Dad, Colonel Tommy Thomas, Sr. My Dad passed away in 2001, shortly before my retirement from the U.S. Army, from a brain tumor attributed to Agent Orange he was exposed to during his tour in Vietnam. My Dad was always supportive of me, my sister, and Mom. He was a loving and caring person who always put others first. Dad spent 27 years in the U.S. Army. He was branched Medical Service Corps and enjoyed that environment of helping others, especially soldiers. My Dad was instrumental in my choice of spending the first half of my adult life in the military. We miss him terribly. My Hero. My Dad.
