World Vision sent an assessment team to assist the government following a 7.4 quake off the coast of Guatemala. What they found in the hard hit San Marcos area was huge cracks and landslides in the roads, houses collapsed and even a school destroyed. Luckily the 100-plus children who usually attend school at Los Magales were currently on a break and not inside the building when the earthquake hit. World Vision is currently responding to those affected by the quake with foam mattresses, water, food, blankets and hygiene kits.
