Life in China
Does water have to flow?
This is Harbin, the largest city of Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China. Most of us here stories from the more famous or favored cities of China. The Ice City , obviously is not a favorite and I don't need to explain why. I like being against the flow, and enjoying the cold is one of my crazies.
It did not snow last winter ,but in March there was a burst of snow (my first time experiencing snowfall) and I found this interesting drain as I was walking back to my dormitory from class. Frozen puddles and icy paths are common in winter here, when 20 under 0 Celsius allows you to just about breath- iced lashes in place of iced lattes, frozen fingers in place of fish fingers. I have no complaints!
It wasn't a very cold winter, according to the locals and my husband who has been here for three years now. That only leaves me to wonder , what then, is a really cold winter? Well, I'll just have to wait and see, won't I?
