Protest Against Tax Reform in Santo Domingo Dominican Republic

On Sunday, thousands of dominican people gathered in "Parque Independencia"(Independence Park) against a new tax reform. Protesters began circulating a document requiring President Danilo Medina void the Tax Reform Act, with which the Government intends to raise 46 billion pesos in the first year. With banners, flags, scarves and clothing mourning, protesters crowded the Calle El Conde, Independence Avenue and Palo Hincado shouting different slogans.
The discontent of the Dominican people on the implementation of this new reform is due to the large current political corruption. We want the world to know!!!
