Citrus South Tule School
Porterville, California in the fall off 2011. My daughter, Jenny and her daughter Madison and son Christopher. I was taking the pictures.
This is the school where my older three sisters, Betty, Mary and Margaret went as kids. Their class room was still intact and being used. My daughter and I walked around the hillsides overlooking the school, talked with the administrator and then went driving around the area where my family lived before I was born.
My dad worked on a dairy farm nearby. There is an Indian reservation just five miles away and we went there for lunch.
We had a great time and it brought back so many memories. My sisters, Betty and Mary have since died. Betty died of a stroke and Mary died of stomach cancer.
