    Solar eclipse in Australia

Solar Eclipse in Brisbane (Capital city of Queensland)

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     sjsoon snapped these images as the eclipse passed over his home city of Brisbane early Wednesday morning.

"In Brisbane we only get partial solar eclipse unlike our neighbours in Cairns [and] Townsville," he says.

"While the eclipse is happening, the sun still shines brightly in the sky however the area around seems gloomy, even though it is a clear sky! It is amazing just with a solar filter, one could see that the moon is just right there in front of the sun!"

14 November 2012. Brisbane (Queensland, Australia), the second best spot after our neighbours Cairns/Townsville in Northern Queensland. Only a partial solar eclipse (approximately 84% coverage).

While the eclipse is happening, the sun still shines brightly in the sky however the area around seems gloomy, even though it is a clear sky! It is amazing just with a solar filter, one could see that the moon is just right there in front of the sun!
Photograph taken just with your regular digital camera, however the experience is worth more than a thousand photographs!
