    Barra de Navidad, Mexico

Mexico, the Pacific Ocean coastline. Once a great beach town, until a hurricane hit it in 2011 and took its great beach away, Barra de Navidad is in recover mode. Lots of businesses are not open or completely closed from last years hurricane, but the spirit of the town is in resurgence, renewal, reclaiming its place of great Mexican tourist areas. Yes, it is a quaint town. It has a dedicated following of Europeans, Mexicans, Americans, and Canadians who have been coming here forever. They will continue to come, even though the beach is gone. Why? Because Barra de Navidad has a charm all its own. Beach or no beach.
