Best place to get freshly made sausages: your local Metzgerei
Germany is not only famous for its beer, sauerkraut and of course, its Oktoberfest. Meat products, in particular sausages are pretty much a staple food in Deutschland. Having recently visited and getting lost in Munich, my fiancé and I found ourselves in an area called Viktualienmarkt, a daily food market where local food produce and butcheries (Metzgereien) abound. Some must-try goodies are their blood sausages (Blutwurst) and liver sausages (Leberwurst).
