When fries taste like an expensive gourmet delicacy
There’s probably an endless debate on where do you find the best fries in the world or where did fries actually come from or whether we call it French fries, American fries or British Chips. I never really appreciated fried potato sticks until we came across this nameless stand-alone kiosk in August 2011 (somewhere along Rue Marché aux Herbes and Rue de la Fourchein) where else, but in Brussels, Belgium where the culinary origin of fries had come from.
It cost us less than €3 each but the freshly-cooked fries felt like the most expensive gourmet food. The taste was just heaven especially amidst a cold summer night.
