    Rangoli at my place.I just made an attempt to do a rangoli on Diwali day at my place to show my 6 years old the tradition of Diwali.

    I learnt about Rangoli when I went to India for my undergrad. I grew up in Bangladesh and we never celebrate Diwali there. So when I first saw Diwali celebration I was so mesmerized. It is a festival of lights and at IIT we had inter hall (students residence) competition for Diwali. It is mind blowing and very artistic. Lot of work goes into it. We used to spend nights to decorate and work on Rangoli. I never seen any celebration so warming and massive. It touches every heart doesn't matter which religion or culture you belong to. You just love to be part of it.
