    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     AlamSingh captured these cool images of Diwali celebrations in downtown Melbourne, Australia.

    "There were many dance performances by local and foreign talent, and of course the 8000 plus people in the crowd dancing too," he says.

    "or me Diwali is a special celelbration, because this festival brings the entire Indian community regardless of religion and the state we come from. It is a time to leave the differences behind and hug each other and just let your hair down and let the dancing to the rest."
