Fish Toss in Seattle
- dsashin, CNN iReport producer
By Jannet Walsh
Seattle, Washington
I travelled on the Amtrak Empire Builder train from St. Cloud, Minn. to Seattle, Wash., starting early Tuesday morning, taking more than 35 hours, to a city a I have many great memories as a child, Seattle, Washington.
My family would take train trips to Seattle, Wash. in the summer as my late father, Martin J. Walsh Jr. worked for a railroad and we had rail passes, making for adventures. I had not returned to Seattle since my college days, and decided it was time.
The Pike Place Market started in 1907, originally with only eight farmers, according to the official market website, http://pikeplacemarket.org. Today you can find antiques, galleries, clothing, food, gifts, handmade crafts, restaurants and more.
I enjoyed meeting Justin Hall and Anders Miller at the world famous Pike Place Fish Market as they tossed fish, attracted a crowd and answered my fish tossing questions. Learn more about the fish tossing at the following website: http://www.pikeplacefish.com.
About this video: The entire video was shot with an iPhone 4, edited with iMovie.
