    Got my last Twinkies

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     NakedBoyNews says he was compelled to go to the store to stock up on Twinkies because he wanted to make sure he had some if they were to become obsolete. In shock about the news, he shares that he grew up with Twinkies and Zingers in his school lunches. "They remind me of childhood, it’s like my soul food. And when I first moved to Vegas one of the first things I did with my college friends was go to the Fremont Street experience for the world famous deep fried Twinkies at the Mermaid casino. It has become a tradition," he says. "The shelf was half empty and I saw a few people picking up boxes. One women said 'I have to get a box, I have actually never tried a Twinkie and I am 41-years-old.' While another women said, 'It's sad, I am picking up a box for my unborn kids, these things last forever.'"
    - Anika3, CNN iReport producer

I was able to get a few boxes of Twinkies before there are no more on the shelves.

I talked to a lady who was buying a box to put away for her unborn kids. She joked that they'll last forever and wants her kids to try the originals.

I grew up with hostess Twinkies and Zingers in my school long box. It's a part of my memories. I'm hoping a company will buy the brands and revive them in the near future.
