My sister and I are discussing events which occurred in child care between 1968 and 1979 in Scotland.

My sister can be evasive and she does not mention anything that she herself has done nor any of the girls that she and I were in care with. My sister will only mention things that the boys did and also some members of staff.

Police in an investigation into abuses at these homes did not conduct a thorough investigation and they were criticised by a panel of Judges at a Tribunal on the 3rd of May 2012 when they presented their meagre results.

The Police claimed that they had done a thorough investigation and that they could not locate any witness' that were in care with me.

They did question my sister though and as you can hear she knows a lot. The Police claimed only to have found Helen Crawford. Although I am allowed copies of all statements the CICA has not provided me with Helen Crawford's statement whom they interviewed over the phone for an amazing few minutes.

How long did it take me to get what I needed in each of these conversations with my sister.

I wonder if Helen or her relatives are working in the public services i.e. the Police, Customs a Council Authority? It would not surprise me if there was a connection.

Here is an recent email from James Moir concerning his time in care and knowledge of the evnts which took place.

    to me
at the age of 53 i have finally decided to open up and let things out..i have been in touch with the ncp[national child protection] and they have passed information on to grampion police who indeed called me today to tell me it is in there hands and someone will be contacting me soon. i told them mainly about the beating i got from uncle bert who was not even a member of staff only the husband of the matron auntie daisy.i read you story you wrote on pin down and know all the mentined names especially lorraine napier as i went out with her sister yvonne. i cannot beleive that paul morrel is still at coblehaugh and in charge as i remember as a 15 year old he took me into his bedroom with john blackhall to smoke cannabis. i have been treated for past 10 years for severe depression and anxiety and post traumatis stress and believe that come from my time in care. i remember your sister jackie well and vaguely yourself and brother.my brother frankie also suffered badly at craiglarroch in aboyne and is now dead.i willbe talking to michael mcphee and maxine robertson who were at coblehaugh at the same time as me when i go to aberdeen at xmas to see if they too are willing to tell their stories.
