Like A Kid in a Candy Store Y'all Remember These?
A trip to my home town to celebrate my Mom's 83rd birthday last weekend brought a lot of nostalgia to mind. We made a pit stop to the Mast General Store in downtown Knoxville. Now the Mast has all kinds of neat retro and eclectic memories from the past. I love the tidbits from the 50's and 60's the best. A huge candy section with barrel after barrel of old time and retro candies seem to be the favorite part of the store. Who didn't love those nasty wax sickning sweet bottles as a kid? Remember when it was cool to buy candy cigarettes? I could not believe they still sold them.
We had to buy two mega jaw breakers to take home. They supply the baskets so you can browse and fill them like trick or treat, charged by the pound.
What is your favorite retro candy?
