There has always been controversy between White Castle Hamburgers and The Krystal gut bombs for those that travel and have had both. I grew up in the south and much prefer the two bite Krystal burgers, with the grilled onions, mustard and pickles. Now I have only tried White Castles from the grocery store freezer so I can not really say if they are better or worse. I know here in Maryland we do not have either one. So every time I go home to East Tennessee it is an absolute, to pick up a sack full of 24 little Krystal Bombs, maybe even two sack fulls. Fresh off the grill they melt in your mouth and the heart burn later is well worth it!
The price has definitely gone up over the years. I can remember getting two Krystal's, an order of fries and a coke all for under a dollar. Yes those were the days.
We had our gut bomb fix just this week. If you visit down south look them up. mmmmnn mmmnnn good!
