100 places to eat like a local |
Raleigh, North Carolina. Where to eat like a local.
Here are my picks.
The Borough (http://theboroughraleigh.com/) is a nice bar/restaurant on a busy corner in downtown. The outdoor patio is a great place to sit and enjoy a half-price appetizer between 4pm and 7pm and to sip one of their specialty cocktails. On weekend night this place gets busy.
The Mecca Restaurant (http://www.mecca-restaurant.com/) was established in 1930. It provides a taste of good ol’ comfort food like your grandma probably cooked.
Cup A Joe Coffee Shop (http://cupajoe.com/) for coffee drinks and other coffee shop items like pastries and muffins. It’s also a good place to people watch, read the paper, and chat. It’s a very popular with students from the nearby North Carolina State University.
