    Obama Visit to Cambodia

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JimCA2 photographed these images of traffic halting at the arrival of President Barack Obama in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on November 19. He says the traffic from President Obama caused delays of up to two hours from people arriving from the nearest airport but most businesses were happy to have the traffic come by because it allowed for an increase of traffic and sales for the shops in the area. He says the arrival of President Obama was a significant event for Cambodia.

Facilitating a dignitary is no easy task. Phnom Penhs government offices were closed today in anticipation of President Obama's visit to the Kingdom and to encourage government workers to stay home. Roads were closed for President Obama and other delegates attending ASEAN meetings.

As a result of the road closures alternate routes for traffic caused one of the worst traffic jams on Phnom Penh's riverfront. Vehicles spent over 2 hours to move 1/2 a kilometer. Others just overheated. With officials tied up in other areas of the town, motos and tuk tuks took to the pedestrian walkway along the riverfront.
