    'Superstorm' Sandy: Your stories

    Yankee Stadium to Yankee Stadium.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     brotherbeans's grandfather built a Yankee Stadium replica out of matchsticks and now that he has to rebuild after getting hit by Sandy, the family is helping him look for a home for his replica. 'The house has been cleaned out and we are trying to rebuild his house. We set up a Facebook page to get his Yankee Stadium to Yankee Stadium. One day, one game for special man!'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

It breaks my heart to see my grandfather watch his house being torn apart piece by piece as a result of it being flooded by Hurricane Sandy. At 86 years old he should be enjoying himself, instead he is trying to rebuild his life and his home. He worked so hard all his life sometimes 2 jobs to be able to retire at his beloved Jersey Shore. Sometimes he just walks around in a daze and can't even talk, just shaking his head. We are all trying to be strong for him and remind him that having him is more important than the house or anything in it. He has been blessed to have so many people help him try to put his life back together. In one day over 30 friends and family showed up to help. He was so touched by their presence, tears rolled down his cheek and rendered him speechless. He has lost 99% of his possessions, but he was so emotional when he saw Yankee Stadium was still intact. You see, he has been making a replica of Yankee Stadium out of matchsticks for the past 4 years. We are trying to help him over the devastation of the hurricane by trying to get his Yankee Stadium to Yankee Stadium. My grandfather has been a Yankee fan since he was a young child when he met Babe Ruth. There is nothing that would make him happier than to have the Yankees recognize his creation. Please help us put a smile on his face and give him something to look forward to. Here is the link to the page that his family has created for him and all the testimonies to him. http://www.facebook.com/BrotherBeans?fref=ts
